Short History of  Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band

Led by the the former Beatle, the All-Starr Band is a live rock super-group with shifting personnel formed in 1989. The band’s motto is very simple ‘everybody on stage is a star in their own right’.

A number of live albums have been released by the group, even though they do not compose original music. With one single exceptions for the song “Island In The Sun” from the band’s album in 2015.
In a live show, the band normally performs 10 to 12 songs which are sung by Ringo Starr (songs from his solo career and the Beatles). And additional 2 to 3 songs per person from the All-Starr lineup which are usually their biggest hits. Either from their solo careers or from their respective groups.

The band has been touring successfully and consistently for nearly three decades with many different lineups, however, none of this would have lasted for so long if it wasn’t for the irreplaceable – Sir Ringo Starr!
